Understand the workpiece requirements, then select the product

These tools help organise hardenability, target size and cooling conditions. You can request quenchants or test equipment at any time without completing every calculation.

Six tools, organized around your question

Your question Tool Output
What is the material’s hardenability potential? Ideal critical diameter DI Composition-based estimate within the model’s scope
How do I interpret H and organise the conditions? Grossmann H value and report H input, curve conditions and analysis report
Is a round-bar size suitable for the given DI and H? Critical diameter of a round bar Model critical diameter compared with target size
How can I interpret existing Jominy data? Measured Jominy Hardenability Analysis Measured-point plot, interpolation and criterion crossing
Do candidate H ranges meet the target? Media H-Range Screening Candidate ranges compared against one criterion
Need composition indices for welding assessment? Carbon equivalent CE CE(IIW), Pcm and CET formula results

TECHNICAL RESOURCES

From calculation results to products, measured data, standards and articles

A calculator supports initial screening. The next step is to connect the result to an Anran quenchant, a cooling curve with stated conditions, the governing material standard and the relevant technical article.

Connect a calculation with your practical requirement

Start with AR-HCCI for high-chromium cast iron, AR-SAG for large Cr–Mo steel SAG liners, AR-UHS for intensified cooling and AR-GP for conventional production.

Choose SYQ-2 to test medium performance. For cooling inside heavy workpieces, discuss internal temperature measurement.

Data classification

Three data types must remain separate

Every curve and conclusion on this site is identified by how the data was obtained.

01 / MEASURED

Measured standard-probe cooling curves

Describes the medium response for the stated probe and test conditions. It is not the surface or core curve of a production workpiece.

02 / PREDICTED

Software-predicted curve

Calculated from a stated model and inputs. It is a prediction, not measured production data.

03 / WORKPIECE

Measured internal workpiece cooling curves

Comes from internal points in the actual workpiece and is used to assess the real cooling process against post-quench hardness, microstructure and properties.

Unless explicitly identified and validated, one data type cannot be converted into or substituted for another.Read the technical method
