AR-GP general-purpose water-based quenchant

For everyday quenching requirements and suitable oil-replacement applications.

AR-GP is Anran’s general-purpose water-based quenchant for conventional parts and batch production. Cooling conditions are selected around concentration, bath temperature and the actual workpiece. Specialised products address specific challenges; AR-GP serves wider everyday demand.

Cooling performance

Compare water and working solutions at different concentrations

Select one to six series. Each option controls both its solid temperature-time path and dashed instantaneous-cooling-rate-temperature path. All six are shown by default.

Dual-horizontal-axis cooling chart

The vertical axis is standard-probe temperature. Read cooling time from the bottom axis and instantaneous cooling rate from the top axis.

Switching to a water-based medium involves more than drum price

When switching from an existing medium, tell us the workpiece, current process and desired improvement. In addition to cooling capacity, review the tank, cleaning, working-fluid maintenance and compatibility with subsequent operations.

Concentration, bath temperature and operating conditions are agreed for the specific workpiece. Concentration checks combined with cooling-characteristic tests can support working-fluid maintenance.

An option for conventional parts and batch production

Product application materials cover induction-hardened gears and sprockets, as well as through-quenched fasteners, springs and crankshafts. Selection can follow your existing materials, equipment and requirements; it is not limited to high-chromium cast iron or SAG mill liner production.

Contact us directly for routine supply

AR-GP can be purchased independently. Ask directly about packaging, quantities and supply; a tester or fixture purchase is not required. For specialised applications, see the separate AR-HCCI, AR-SAG and AR-UHS product pages.

Every product can be quoted and purchased separately. Choose complementary products only when needed.

Data classification

Three data types must remain separate

Every curve and conclusion on this site is identified by how the data was obtained.

01 / MEASURED

Measured standard-probe cooling curves

Describes the medium response for the stated probe and test conditions. It is not the surface or core curve of a production workpiece.

02 / PREDICTED

Software-predicted curve

Calculated from a stated model and inputs. It is a prediction, not measured production data.

03 / WORKPIECE

Measured internal workpiece cooling curves

Comes from internal points in the actual workpiece and is used to assess the real cooling process against post-quench hardness, microstructure and properties.
