Combined dual-horizontal-axis cooling chart
The vertical axis is actual standard-probe temperature; the bottom axis is cooling time from 0–10 seconds; the top axis is instantaneous cooling rate from 0–300°C/s.
Insufficient cooling? Identify the temperature interval first.
AR-UHS offers higher cooling intensity for workpieces requiring intensified quenching. Suitability depends on material, section and target microstructure, together with cracking and distortion control.
Select one record or show both. Temperature–time curves, cooling-rate–temperature curves and table values update together. The vertical axis is standard-probe temperature; the two horizontal axes show time and instantaneous cooling rate.

Each record shows cooling performance under its stated test conditions. Our technical team advises on relative motion and operating conditions for your workpiece; this page does not derive a universal adjustment formula.
Establish the cooling intervals required by the workpiece, then review concentration, bath temperature, relative motion and immersion conditions. Standard-probe results support medium comparison; actual internal cooling and the final condition still require workpiece-specific assessment.
AR-UHS is available independently. Request a quote if your requirements are clear, or describe the workpiece and insufficient cooling performance for technical advice.
Bath-fluid testers and workpiece temperature measurement systems are optional products, not conditions for purchasing AR-UHS.
Every product can be quoted and purchased separately. Choose complementary products only when needed.
Data classification
Every curve and conclusion on this site is identified by how the data was obtained.
Describes the medium response for the stated probe and test conditions. It is not the surface or core curve of a production workpiece.
Calculated from a stated model and inputs. It is a prediction, not measured production data.
Comes from internal points in the actual workpiece and is used to assess the real cooling process against post-quench hardness, microstructure and properties.
